Observing
McDonald Observatory operates four research telescopes. Proposals are accepted on a trimester cadence. The 0.8 m, 2.1 m and 2.7 m telescopes offer limited access to non-UT astronomers. Remote observing is restricted to UT proposers. The 10 m Hobby-Eberly Telescope is reserved for partner institution astronomers only.
