Panacea – for LRS2
Repository: Panacea
Panacea is an automated pipeline that runs daily at 10 a.m. Central Time. It performs bias subtraction, overscan correction, cosmic ray rejection, flat-fielding, sky subtraction, and extraction of fiber spectra for each of the four LRS2 channels (UV, Orange, Red, and Farred). Key data products include extracted 2D fiber spectra, quick-look data cubes, and 1D extracted spectra of the best-guess target.
LRS2Multi – for LRS2
Repository: LRS2Multi
LRS2Multi takes the output of Panacea and produces fully reduced, wavelength-calibrated, and sky-subtracted data cubes and 1D spectra. The pipeline combines data from all four LRS2 channels, applies astrometric alignment, and generates final science-ready data cubes and extracted 1D spectra.
Remedy – for VIRUS
Repository: Remedy
Remedy reduces data from the VIRUS instrument, processing thousands of spectra simultaneously. It handles bias and flat corrections, wavelength calibration, sky subtraction, and combines dithered exposures. Remedy produces HDF5 files containing sky-subtracted, flux-calibrated fiber spectra and metadata, including sky positions. See Zeimann et al. (2024) for more details.
Goldilocks – for HPF
Repository: Goldilocks_Documentation
Goldilocks is a next-day pipeline for HPF that runs daily at 11 a.m. Central Time. It performs detector-level corrections, optimal extraction, and wavelength calibration. Key data products include extracted spectra for science, calibration, and sky fibers. Note that sky subtraction is left to users; see the documentation above for guidance.
TSDRP – for Tull Coudé Spectrograph
Repository: TSDRP
The Tull Spectrograph Data Reduction Pipeline (TSDRP) processes echelle data from the Tull Coudé Spectrograph. It performs order tracing, extraction, flat-field correction, wavelength calibration, and blaze function correction. Outputs include 1D extracted, wavelength-calibrated spectra for each order, merged 1D spectra, and diagnostic plots. Currently released as a beta version.
Antigen – for GCMS, VIRUS-W, and VIRUS2
Repository: Antigen (work in progress; expected release August 2025)
Antigen is a multi-instrument pipeline designed for GCMS, VIRUS-W, and VIRUS2 data. It supports differing IFU formats and produces extracted, wavelength-calibrated spectra; sky-subtracted data cubes; and data quality metrics. Upon release, Antigen will process data on a night-by-night basis.
